New Delhi: Only one country reported the alleged death of oxygen while no one reported such cases so far, the center said in the midst of controversy over the classification of Covid-19 death during the second wave.
“The state was asked whether there was an oxygen-related death.
When the question was raised in parliament, they specifically asked this question.
According to the report we have until now, one country has refers to suspected cases and others do not say if there is oxygene death,” Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, said.
He did not mention which country reported “the alleged death of oxygen-related deaths”.
He said that the Indian Medical Research Council had specific norms based on the framework of whom about the classification of Covid-19 and central deaths have emphasized the countries for timely reporting and audits, which are very important for the management of all infectious diseases, including Covid19.
Comments came behind the center told Rajya Sabha that there was no death because the lack of oxygen had been reported specifically by countries.
The center states that Covid’s death analysis was significant and continuously involved with countries to secure information about them.
“We have also asked the state to analyze how many deaths occur in house isolation, within 24 hours of hospitalization, within 48 hours, 72 hours and how much has happened even after that,” he said.
