Guwahati: In the main turnaround in Assam’s politics, the People’s Bodoland (BPF), which struggled by the Assembly polls last year as part of the “Mahajot” led by the Congress, will sit in the ruling bench with BJP in the State Assembly, Chairman of the Ministle Himanta Buswa Sarma announce on Sundays.
BPF tried to come to BJP, even when the Safron Party has strongly supported the Party of People’s Party Pramod Boro (UPPL) as its coalition partner to win the BODO-HIH area which is politically significantly significantly.
Towards the next Saba (RS) (RS) (RS) (RS) (RS) poll, floor coordination can provide a boost for the BJP plan to win both chairs that fall empty from Assam immediately.
Sarma said at this time, coordination would be limited to the Assembly and both parties not political allies.
“Starting today, we have acknowledged the People’s Bodoland Front as one of our partner partners in the Assembly.
We will have total floor coordination with BPF and they will sit with the ruling parties in Assam Assembly.
However, the friendship will be locked up in the Assembly , “said Sarma to MediodPersons here on Sunday.
“This decision has been taken at the Legislative Party level.
BJP and BPF have not formed an alliance but the BJP and BPF legislative party will work together,” Sarma added.
He said the uppl agreement was taken in this matter.
“Uppl does not have objections to this new formation,” said Sarma, added that the decision had been taken considering the political atmosphere that changed where the law could be continued by all coordination.
The power of BJP in the State Assembly is 62, while the allies AGP has nine and UPPL has seven MLA.
BPF has three MLA.
