Kolhapur: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kolhapur (KCCI), the peak body of the merchant, on Monday, requested administration to allow them to operate all stores until 8pm and cancel the weekend locking.
The KCCI delegation met the Rahul District District collector on Monday.
Traders said the Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray, during his visit to Kolhapur last week, has ensured relaxation to traders if the covid level of covid reduced further.
Covid’s frontpiece in Kolhapur Regency has diminished to 4% and, therefore, restrictions must be relaxed, the traders said.
Sanjay Sheete, President KCCI said, “Trade from all districts has stopped for more than a week due to floods.
At the time of CM visits, we believe there will be relaxation in covid restrictions.
Thus, we submit a request to relax restrictions for business activities such as allowing stores Open until 8pm and cancel the Kuncian weekend.
“Rekhawar convinced traders to place demands before the early government and appeal to representatives to follow Covid restrictions.
Meanwhile, a small trader from Shahupuri and Laxmipuri on Monday threatened to strike if the restrictions were not relaxed.
