Thiruvananthapuram: On the second day of the Covid-19 vaccination drive for children in the state, almost one child lakh took the first dose.
A total of 98,084 children were vaccinated on Tuesday throughout the state.
The highest number of vaccinations among children took place in Thrissur with 16,625 children get Jab.
Kannur was second with 16,475 children followed by Palackad which recorded 11,098 vaccination doses.
In two days the state has provided vaccinations to 1,36,767 children between groups of age 15 and 18 years.
This is 8.92% of the population that qualifies in the age group.
On the second day, there were 949 vaccination centers operating throughout the state.
For people over 18 years, there are 696 serving vaccination centers.
The first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was taken by 98.6% of the population that qualified in Kerala while 80% of them had taken the second dose.
