New Delhi: Nearly half or 49% of 60 and the above population has been vaccinated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The percentage is 42% for those aged between 45 and 59 and 15% for those aged between 18-44 years.
The total vaccine dose given so far across 33 crore marks on Tuesday.
Estimated coverage of vaccines based on age groups is based on the mid-year population census projection for 2020-21.
The total estimated population 18 and above is 94.4 crores.
From here, those aged 18-44 years bear the calculation for 59.7 individual crores, 20.9 Crores are in the age group 45-59 years and 13.8 crore is 60+.
