Gurgaon: The state government has missed the vaccination target of all teaching and non-teaching staff in schools in 5.
September so far, only 53% of them get their shots.
Last month, the Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandaviya had asked all states to ensure that teachers were vaccinated by priority, preferably by the teacher’s day, Haryana had done.
In accordance with the data department of education, there are 1,039.10 teachers and non-teaching staff in 1,4156 government schools throughout the state.
Of these, 31,953 was only given the first dose while 23,426 was fully vaccinated.
The wise report of the district shows that 10 districts have recorded 50% or less vaccination.
At 88%, Karnal ranks the district in terms of school staff vaccination, followed by Charchi Dadri with 76%.
Gurgaon is a third place with more than 71% of school staff vaccinated.
Of the 4,930 staff in government schools, 1,981 had received the first dose and 1.528 resolved more vaccination.
The Ministry of Education says all staff will be vaccinated in the coming weeks.
“It is necessary for teachers who come to school to get a vaccine as soon as possible for their own safety and also students.

Districts such as Noah, Palwal, Hisar, Panipat and Faridabad need to catch up to reach the same status.

The Ministry of Education claims the vaccination drive has taken steps and that the state will try to ensure all the staff are inoculated at the end of this month.
“Special camps are being arranged to vaccinate teachers and staff who do not teach.

Other districts also show similar trends.
We have directed district education officials and principals to ensure vaccination for all staff in the next few weeks, “said a senior education department official.
