‘Alternative Nobel’ is given to environmental activists, communities

Stockholm: Honor of Sweden known as the “Alternative Nobel Prize” was awarded Wednesday for Environmental Activists from Canada, Russia and India, and Cameroon battles to prevent violence against jihadists.
The appropriate livelihood award, which recognizes the achievements of the environmental and international development passed by the traditional Nobel-Nobels, said “this year’s change maker shows that lasting changes are built on a united community”.
Customary Rights Campaign of Canada Freda Huson from wet people was awarded “because his dedication was fearless to reclaim his people’s culture and defend their land on the disaster pipe project.” The award organization said that his actions have established the gaslin beach natural gas pipeline project in North British Columbia “back for years”.
Acticist Marthe Wandou, the first cameraman to win prizes, was awarded “to build a community-based child protection model in dealing with terrorist rebellion and gender-based violence in the Lake Chad Cameroon region.” Vladimir Slivyak, Chairperson together from the Russian Environment Group Ecodefence, recognized “for his defense to the environment and to help turn on grassroots opposition to the coal and nuclear industry in Russia.” And finally Indian legal initiatives for forests and the environment were awarded “for their innovative legal work empowered the public to protect their resources in pursuit of environmental democracy in India.” The appropriate livelihood award was made in 1980 Swedish-Germany Fileatelist Jakob Von Uexkull after the Nobel Foundation behind the Nobel prize refused to create awards to respect efforts in the environment and international development.
This award consists of a cash prize of one million Swedish Chronor ($ 114,000) for each winner, intended to support the work of the recipient.
Previous prize winners include the Whistleblower AS Edward Snowden, Gynecologist Congo and Nobel Winner Denis Mukwege, and Greta Thunberg, who have become an icon of the Youth Climate Change Movement at the age of 16 when he won in 2019.
