Alumni Advisory Forum formed on the Day of Foundation

Mangaluru: Karnataka National Technology Institute (NITK) Kapaykal celebrates the 62nd Foundation Day on Friday.
The celebration began with lifting the flag by Deputy Director of Prof.

Nitk Foundation Day marked the birthday celebration of the Founder of Nitk (later Krec) late, Srinivasa Malla.
That day coincided with the launch of the alumni advisory forum.
Opening the New Education Policy NEP-2020, and directing its implementation by the Ministry of Education, it has been proposed to change industrial collaboration to the next level through the formation of an innovation laboratory, the center of excellence and funding of R & D activities.
To achieve this new goal, alumni support is very important.
The proposal for the formation of a forum from Director Prof.
K Umamaaheshwar Rao has an encouraging response from the NITK alumni association.
NITK / KREC 1981 Batch Alumni has contributed Rs 4.7 Lakh to Nitk / Krec endowmen funds.
Contributions are towards the award and cash scholarships each RS 10,000 for two decent children and deserves to get non-teaching employees or contracts, which get the highest score in their SSLC examination.
This cash scholarship was given to Anisha and Manjunatha.
Meanwhile, Trishul Jal Sanchayan, groundwater refill projects supported by students from Batch 1994, were also inaugurated at Hostel Trishul (Block 8).
The project was designed to collect rainwater from the roof of Trishul Boys Hostel, Bank Canara and Bank Negara Buildings, and divert it to the location of the proposed and well.
More than 300 puppies have been planted around the well, to make green space.
The total project costs are around Rs 20 Lakh.
