Alwar, Bharatpur District tends to lose NCR status

Jaipur: Following a new policy design approved by the National Capital Planning Board (NCRPB), the main area of Alwar and Bharatpur, including two cities, from the country may no longer be part of the National Capital Region (NCR).
In accordance with the design of the 2041 regional plan, the area outside the 100km radius is not possible to become the main part of the NCR and this can result in exclusion of Rajasthan Regency.
At present, NCR is spread around 150-175 km, which covers all districts and rural areas.
However, the new depiction was proposed to be carried out based on the principle of radius of 100 km from Rajghat in Delhi, plus 1 km in every direction along the main transportation corridor.
The main transportation corridors include national higway, highways, state highways and regional fast transit systems.
A senior official in Wing City Planning said, “according to the design of the 2014 regional plan, the area that exceeded 100 km could not be part of the main NCR.
While Alwar is about 160 km, Bharatpur more than 200 km.
Both cities tend to be excluded.” On the day Tuesday, at a meeting chaired by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Urban Hardeep Puri, Minister of UDH Rajasthan, Shanti Dhariwal, asked the center to combine the area in the district in NCR after delineation.
The final plan will be notified in March 2022, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs.
Under the constitutional law (69th amendment) 1991, the NCR zone was created by combining Delhi capital and several side by side.
Alwar was in NCR since the beginning, while Bharatpur was part of 2013.
According to sources, the district has failed to reap the benefits of being part of the NCR with the absence of central assistance over the past few years over the past few years for several years.
When Bharatpur is included, it is expected to attract more investors and eventually become an industrial hub like Neemrana and Bhiwadi.
“Not only government agencies, private players are also expected to invest in this region.
But all high hopes fall flat,” said a source.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) also does not include the main industrial cities of Bhiwadi, Tapukara and Khushkhera (BTK) in the smoothness of the Rapid Regional Transit System (RRTS) proposed between Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar.
A source said that Rajasthan also highlighted this problem.
“The first phase of this project almost does not benefit the situation despite sharing equity.
Rajasthan is the first country to give his approval to share equity in the project,” said the source.
