The commemoration of the Indian gate was built by the British government to commemorate British Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives between 1914-1921.
However, Amar Joan Jyoti was included in the warning structure in the 1970s after Indian’s massive victory over Pakistan where 93,000 enemy country troops surrendered.
After a long wait and some considerations, the national war warnings were built in the Indian gate complex by the Government of Narendra Modi and was inaugurated in 2019.
