Amazon has launched a new Alexa feature called Sidekick reading.
This feature is designed to help children improve their reading skills with Alexa.
With new features, children can read physical and digital books with Alexa, each taking turns.
Alexa will listen to readings and help children if they fight while reading.
Digital voice assistants will also encourage children if they succeed.
“Reading Sidekick is designed to complete the time of children spend reading with adults.
So, even if you are busy cooking dinner or work, Alexa is available to read with your child,” Amazon said.
The Sidekick reading feature functions with most Alexa-enabled devices – Echo, Echo Dot, Echo dot Kids, Echo Plus and Echo Show Smart Display.
It is also available for plus children’s services on fire tablets.
How to use Features Start using the Sidekick reading feature, activate the Amazon Kids mode and then say “Alexa, let’s read”.
Users will then be asked to choose a book on a fire tablet or in a plus children’s application for other devices.
They can choose from options like reading a lot, little or turning.
With ‘Read a lot’ mode, children will be expected to read four pages in sequence.
The ‘Read a little’ mode is contrary to this.
A child is expected to follow in the book and read a paragraph page every few pages.
While the “picky” mode will allow reading between children and Alexa in sequence.
Alexa will listen to the reading of the child and help him in other pronunciation and challenges.
Amazon has more than 700 books in the current and more systems will be released in the future.
Amazon also launched Alexa’s voice profile for children this weekend.
This feature will allow echoes to recognize certain children’s voices.
It will then personalize the experience for them.
Users will be able to set up to four unique sound profiles.
