Ambala: With the arrest of two people, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the police Ambala solves the case of the statue of Jesus Christ’s statue at Christmas in the Church of the Holy Redeemer.
Ambala Inspector Police (SP) Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said the defendant was identified as Ravinder Singh (27) and Sandeep Kumar (28), both residents of Vashisht Nagar.
They will be produced in the District Court on Wednesday, for their detention to ensure the motive behind ACT.
“During the investigation, our team won the CCTV camera record from the church and analyzed them thoroughly.
Our Cyber and cellular forensic team also collected evidence.
We also investigated through our informants after the police arrested the Defendant’s duo,” SP said.
“According to our verification, the two defendants have no criminal record.
While Sandeep Kumar, Btech graduates, posted on PWD, Ravinder has done 10 + 2 and he has done work in a different company and pharmacy,” the officer said.
When asked about the motive behind the stetrification, SP Ambala said, “They revealed that Sandeep came to Ravinder’s house on two-wheeled vehicles and both planned to go to church (on Christmas Day).
Both of them went to church around 6pm to see the celebration ( Christmas).
Then they consumed liquor.
They committed a crime between 12:30 am to 1.30 in the morning and broke the statue with several ‘stones’.
The investigation is being carried out from every corner, “he said.
