Ambergris is worth RS 3.5 Cr confiscated

Mangaluru: City police have arrested six people from Udupi and Bengaluru, who tried to sell 3.5 kg Ambergris worth RS 3.5 Crore on Tuesday.
Police said the defendant was arrested near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Balepuni Village on Bantwal Taluk.
Konaje police led by ACP was jigged by Shetty, carried out the attack.
The defendant who was arrested was Prashanth, 24, from Kundapur, Udupi, Sathyaraj, 32, a resident of Veerabhadra Nagara, Bengaluru, Rohith, 27, and Virupaksha, 37, from Jyka Yedapadavu in Mangaluru, Rajesh, Mangaluru and Nagaraj, 31, residents of Kaup in Udupi.
The accusation had claimed that they got Ambergris from Sethu Manikya, a fisherman from Tamil Nadu.
