Thane: In a strange incident, a man from Ambernath Town in the Thane Maharashtra district received Covid-19’s last vaccination certificate, even before he was given a second shot.
Incidentally Ashok Jadhav, a resident of Barkupada Ambernath ordered an online slot at the Karavale Vaccination Center on the Cowin Portal to receive both Jab.
However, on reaching the center, he failed to get a second shot even after waiting in the queue for five hours, and sad, he returned home.
He then decided to get the second dose of other vaccination centers in the city.
But when he tried to register himself there, he found that the Cowin portal had marked him fully vaccinated.
He even received a message on his call to confirm that he had received both Jab.
When Jadhav was surprised to ask about the same thing at the Karavale Center, he was asked to return after a few days and be sure that he would be given the second dose.
Officials at the center stated that errors had occurred because of errors in their online database system and that the problem was resolved immediately after notified to them.
They also said that those who received their final certificate without getting a dose because the error had been informed by the authorities and the vaccine would be given as soon as possible.
