Ambulance drivers call their strike

Written by news2in

Ghaziabad: After several meetings in the past few days, the ambulance drivers called their strike but said that their protest would now be symbolic.
On Saturday, of a total of 39 ambulances, only 12 were operating.
Ambulance drivers broke down since Tuesday for salary and inclusion increases under the National Health Mission (NHM).
Brij Mohan, Jeevandayi District President Swasthya Vibhag 102, 108 and ALS ambulance employees, said, “We have done a portion of the ambulance strike and the driver returned to work from Saturday.
However, our agitation has not ended, and we have gathered in Lucknow and held talks With the state government.
“Mohan added that their protest would be symbolic now.
The problem began recently when the state government gave a contract for ALS ambulances (advanced life support) to new companies.
Most drivers have been associated with previous forms since 2012.
The driver accused that the new company recruited their own staff, replacing old workers.
The company was thought to demand a guarantee of RS 20,000 to maintain the old staff and asked them to take salary pieces too.
Ambulance workers have also demanded that they be included under the NHM.
Until that happens, they must be given a minimum wage, overtime and lover benefits, the driver has searched.
The state government on the other hand refused to give up on their demands and even threatened them in the inn against them.
As an alternative, the state government has suggested that if the driver does not report to BEA then they will involve the driver of the highway to run an ambulance.
