AMC blocks the waste line to waste networks

Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court has praised AMC’s decision not to allow industrial units in the city to release the waste into waste networks.
The Civic’s body told the court plan on Friday.
The judges have called a pressing litigation for Sabarmati who are clean as ‘people’s movements’.
AMC said that he had cut 330 connections obtained illegally by industrial units in the city to release waste to waste lines.
AMC said illegal discharge had a negative impact on treated waste and water treatment plants properly pumped into the river, causing environmental damage.
For sale by HC, AMC has started the drive last month to retrieve pollution unit waste connections.
The problem became controversial after Civic Body was disconnected drainage connections from three main textile industries: Arvind Ltd, ANKKUR textiles, and Ashima Ltd.
The industrial unit claims they treat waste to waste lines.
But AMC states that the waste treated contains elements of mercury, lead, and other toxic and does not meet the disposal parameters.
When the industrial unit made their case, AMC advisor told the court: “There will be no connection from the Industrial Unit to the AMC waste track …
We do not want to allow industrial units [to do this]”.
Advice said: “This is declared a written statement.” The advice then said: “The civil heads personally have clarified that no industrial units will be given permission for their connections and outlets should not be in the waste line.” For this, JB Pardiwala justice and justice VD Nanavati said: “We are happy to know that AMC has made a policy decision.
It is a legal task to see that the trade effluent does not enter waste.” The AMC advisor was subsequently delivered that after Drive Termination, increased improvement It has been observed in the function of STPS and in the quality of disposal.
“If the industrial component is issued, waste content can be managed by STPS,” adviser said.
“Recent termination has produced something good.” Lawyers representing the textile unit objection with the AMC holder.
HC recommends a practical view without facilities to release waste treated to CETPS.
AMC adviser said: “We will not allow it.
We will answer it legally and let the court try.”
