AMC launched the RS 8.111CR budget for FY 2022-23

Commissioner Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Lochan Sehra on Wednesday presented the RS 8,111 crore budget for the financial year 2022-23.
Here are highlights: * Pollution-free and clean city will be a top priority * The sixth city performance index in this country * Goal this year: 100 percent of the first dose vaccination, 82 percent second * 100 percent coverage of water supply * cellular application-based service, health will be In focus vs, Sharda, LG hospital to get additional buildings * Rs 900 Crore allocated for the development of Kharicut Canal * Rs 150 Crore for Civic Bopal-Ghuma Services * 275 km new road * 35 schools * Bridge-cum-cumrage in Indira Bridge * Solar Rooftop and EV Charging Booth incentives scheme that will be launched in the city this year.
On the roof of solar, AMC will provide a 10 percent discount in property tax for bungalows.
* No taxis increases * RS 365 Crore is allocated for water projects * The stem line from the Kotarpur treatment plant for the augmentation of western water supply * Rs 290 Crore for the process of water treatment so that the industry stops using groundwater and AMC * AMC to invest RS 100 Crore, the country to provide Rs 400 Crore and World Bank Dana Rs 400 Crore to be used for the Kharicut Canal * RS 490 Crore project has been allocated for urban transportation.
100 other electric AC buses will be purchased.
Six routes to get 600 e-rickshaws for the last connectivity * Two waste to the energy project to continue this year * pink toilets in public places.
Rs 8.4 Crore is for the project * Rs 269 Crore to convert wet waste to organic fertilizer * 3 fire chowkies to be arranged.
Fire equipment to match the height of building * 15 new English high schools in AMC by converting old schools * Cellular nursery schools for children this year * 56 new gardens to be improved * 10 new oxygen parks to build * Heritage management plan for City * RS 1,075 Crore to be invested in the Riverfront Stage 2 * Digital transactions will be taken to 90 percent * RS 56 lakh for Heritage Trust Office * BRT, Metro Mobility Card to be integrated in the future * RS 30 Crore for wind power plants * Anti-encroachment sensor system 16 Under the City Smart project.
Is that a pink toilet? After the success of the concept launch in October 2017 by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), Pink toilet gained popularity between civil bodies throughout the country.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will invest more than RS 8.40 Crore for this project.
AMC will build 21 toilets.
* Intended only for women * This toilet will have a vending machine bearing to release bearings with subsidized rates 5 per pad and even for free in some cases.
* This toilet is equipped with a nursing room and a dressing room * This toilet will even have a friendly toilet chair – a friendly toilet * mini insinerator to throw sanitation napkins to prevent pollution * women will feel much safer.
