AHMEDABAD: Every budget the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) spends an average of 10.5percent of its yearly expenditure on offer and bolstering of drinking into its seven million Amdavadis.
Based on an investigation by Patheya funding center,”The funding cost on drinking water has dropped from 13 percent in 2015-16 to 9.24percent in 2020-21.
AMC’s yearly budget for 2020-21 had promised that per capita water source would be 140 to 150 litres per day.” However, in fact the daily capita water ingestion of a person in posh places including Thaltej, Bodakdev, Gota, Ghatlodia and Chandlodia has been 309 litres per day, the greatest in town.
Then comes places such as Navrangpura, Paldi, Nava Wadaj, Sabarmati places, every person consumes a typical 270 litres per day.
However, people in Sardarnagar, Nobelnagar, Bapunagar, Saijpur Bogha, eat 213 litres daily, that is the least a person absorbs in town.
Quite interestingly, regions such as Jodhpur, Vejalpur, Sarkhej and Maktampura absorbs 217 litres of water per day.
“From the south-west zones, what’s worrying most families utilize high power pumps which finally contributes to substantial municipal water consumption.,” states an AMC official.
