Carrier canceled more flights on Monday to push the total number to 2,300.
The airline said it canceled 340 flights, or 6% of the total flight planned on Monday, at 11am.

The lack of staffing has hit American Airlines, Southwest Airlines Co and Spirit Airlines Special Inc., when they enhance flights in front of the holiday season but face problems finding enough pilots and flight attendants.
“Stewardess staff in America is tense and reflect what is happening throughout the industry because we continue to deal with issues related to pandemics,” said APFA United flight officer.
The American Pilot Union said last month they planned to carry the main hub operators to protest the work schedule, fatigue, and lack of adequate accommodation this summer.
The cancellation is another setback to the Texas-based company, which has staggered from the increase in fuel costs and labor that affects the industry when the US prepares to open the border for travelers who are fully vaccinated.
“The airline has certain weather problems which then rotates into rustled cancellations and is exacerbated by the inability to fill up schedules from their workweight reserves,” said UBS analyst MYLES WALTON.

The company, however, hopes that some of these impacts can be mitigated with almost 1,800 flight attendants who return from leave from Monday.
