New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal Chaif ​​Jayant Chaudhary has chosen “the wrong house”, Union Amit Shah’s Minister said on Wednesday when he reached the JAT leaders at the meeting here ahead of the first phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh and BJP suggested that the door opened for RLD leader.
According to sources, while talking to the leaders of JAT from Uttar Pradesh West, Shah said the ideology of the two parties and the community the same as both of them maintained national interests first and had fought against “invaders”.
The meeting held at the residence of BJP MP Parvesh Verma was also attended by prominent JAT leaders including Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan who was a member of Parliament from Muzaffarnagar at Uttar Pradesh.
JATS is a determinant factor in almost all seats in Uttar Pradesh West, an area where RLD enjoys influence among the people.
RLD, led by former Prime Minister Charan Singh Jayant Chaudhary, has handled hands with the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav at this time.
“In the meeting, we have suggested that people from the JAT community speak with Jayant Chaudhary.
The BJP door is always open,” Verma told reporters.
BJP outreach is significant because there are fears that farmer agitation for a year against three Agri laws, which has since been revoked, will affect its prospects.
However, the RLD leader gave a brief response.
“Invite +700 the farmer’s family that you have destroyed, not me,” he tweeted in Hindi.
Talking about RLD, Shah said at the meeting that Jayant Chaudhary “has chosen the wrong house”.
Quoting the various steps taken by the Modi government for the community, Shah said it appointed three Governors of JAT and had nine JAT parliamentarians.
Expressing gratitude to the community, Shah said BJP received a community thanks because the party could win in 2014, 2017, 2019.
“With your support, I believe you will again make us win this election too,” he said.
Shah said the BJP government named a university in Aligarh in the name of Jat King, has built a freeway and brought the airport for work and prosperity at Uttar Pradesh West.
Pagdi, the Jat Pride symbol, was bound to Shah’s head in the meeting.
Balyan said that JATS would never prefer SP Head Akhilesh Yadav as Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
The development came a day before Shah and several other top BJP leaders, including Union Minister Rajnath Singh, is scheduled to visit the west of Uttar Pradesh.
Shah held a similar meeting with leaders from the JAT community ahead of the 2017 assembly and selection of Lok Sabha 2019.
