NEW DELHI: Following over 200 pupils wrote about dropping their parents at the outbreak, a Noida-based private college produced a corpus of Rs 50 crore to finance their schooling.
The fund intends to make sure that those who misplaced a getting parent, or both parents, have the ability to remain in their own courses.

According to college officials, they’ve obtained letters out of 250 students telling them about getting lost a parent through the ordeal.
The pupils – from undergraduate and postgraduate classes – sought financial help to continue their own schooling.
At least 20 of those students said they’d lost both parents.

“A high number of these have lost their loved ones bread earner.

In conclusion, the college instituted a”Covid Relief Fund” to sponsor these pupils, he explained.

“We analyzed the situation and also put a corpus of Rs 50 crore to finance the schooling of pupils who dropped parents during the semester,” said Chauhan.

The college has made a committee to assess the requests for financial help.

Amity has also lost 10 young school members.
The amount of pupils who’ve dropped close relatives throughout the next wave is significantly greater.

On its additional Covid relief actions, Chauhan stated:”COVID relief actions, but in another form.
“We’ve distributed rations and above three lakhs food packs in the very first wave through which there was not any casualties from the Amity community.

We made an oxygen lender on the campus using ambulances and motorists.
We had 50 people attending our dedicated helpline for both hospitalisation and medications help for our employees, faculty, students as well as their parents and household .

The college also has set up a 24X7 psychological counseling for parents, pupils in addition to employees for psychological support.

“Through lockdown we changed all of the procedure to online to ensure pupils not just continue to understand, but also don’t face any anxiety since doubts over examinations.
We finished the academic session in time,” summed Chauhan.
