In defense technology courses have been designed to produce postgraduate who will have the theoretical and experimental knowledge needed, skills and talents in various contemporary defense and technology systems to carry out R & D.
This program will be based on class lectures and the main thesis work, he said.
During the program, students will be given the opportunity to do their main thesis work in Drdo Labs, PSUS defense, and the private defense industry, he said.

At the launch of M.Tech In Defense Technology, G Satheesh Reddy, Chairman, Drdo, said there was an urgent need to expand the research base to develop advanced technology and to accelerate independence in India in defense.

I believe the University will become a strong fountainhead of talent for R & D defense, and the manufacturing ecosystem for the defense industry in the country,” he said.
