Nagpur: Preparing to fight the estimated third wave, the Amravati unit from the Micro Ministry, small and medium enterprises will produce its first equipment collecting RT-PCR samples through gargling.
Developed by Krishna Khairnar, scientists and heads in the environment of environmental virology at the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (Neer), this technique allows the collection of RT-PCR samples through a gargling method.
Neei has also prepared a special buffer media where the samples collected are mixed to release RNA viruses.
Transfer of SOP and Knowhow from technology to the MSME unit was held on Saturday in front of the Nitin Gadkari minister.
According to a neeri official, the Amravati MSME unit is on a technology scale.
