Gurugram: A sub-inspector with police Haryana allegedly fired his 18-year-old girl and wife on Tuesday night, killing the daughter in that place.
His wife was taken to PGI Rohtak, where his condition was reported stable.
Si was arrested on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m.
in the village of Mandothi in the Bahardurgarh area of the Jhajjar district.
Sant Singh, a sub-inspector posted in Sonipat, leave and came to live with his wife Saroj and their daughter satakshi and her 25-year-old son.
The police said the heated argument occurred, after which Singh was shot on his daughter’s face angrily because of the argument.
The bullet stabbed his skull and hit a wall.
When Saroj tried to intervene and calm him down, Singh instilled it too.
The bullet hit his hand and he fell unconscious.
The police said when they reached the place, Singh would shoot his son too but stuck in time.
“Singh rushed to leave when he saw us but we held it,” said a police officer.
Police rushed Satakshi and Saroj to a civil hospital, where the girl was declared brought.
The mother was referred to PGI Rohtak, where she recovered.
His statement will be recorded as soon as the doctor considers it suitable to be questioned.
The police said that apart from the son, another family member was present at home at the time of the incident, who would also be questioned.
“Because no one advanced to file a complaint, it was filed by police personnel based on the order of events they witnessed and Singh’s interrogation,” said Jhajjar SP Wasim Akram.
Singh was booked on Tuesday night below the IPC 307 section (effort for murder) and 302 (punishment for murder) at the Jhajjar police station and was officially arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
The police said he had recognized the crime.
According to the police, Singh suspicions that Satakshi is in a relationship, which has led to the argument.
A police officer, provided anonymity, said the Si told them that he did not intend to shoot at his wife and that he was arrested in a shootout.
The officer told Ti that Singh was always suspicious of Satakakhi.
He is mostly limited to the house and pursues sewing courses.
“He did not let his daughter learn after grade 12 because he thought he would marry away with several boys.
He will make an examination of his movements and never let him leave the house without his permission,” the official said.
