Anand Mahindra & Dhoni in the panel to review the NCC, make it relevant to changing time

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defense has established a high-level committee for a comprehensive review of Corps National Cadet, which is the largest uniformed student organization in the world with around 15 lakh cadets, to make it more relevant in changing times.
Led by former MP Baijayant Panda, the 15-member Committee including Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Industrialist Anand Mahindra, MPS Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Retd) and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Jamia Millia Islamia Vice-Chancelor Najma Akhtar, Chair of Dalit Indian Chamber of the Dalit Commercial & Industrial Milind Kambu and General General Alok Raj (Retd), among others.
Officials said the reference framework of the panel included steps that could empower NCC’s cadet to contribute more effectively to the nation’s development and development in various sectors.
It will also propose steps for the involvement of its alumni to repair NCC as a whole.
