Patna: With the resumption of all the letters and passenger trains after the easing of Covid restrictions, the train has allocated several beds in the AC and Sleeper coach exclusively for passengers of women traveling by far trains.
The Chairman of the ECR Public Relations (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar said the Minister of Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw recently announced this facility in parliament and also informed the house about the steps taken to provide security for female passengers during the trip.
“At least six beds have been for women at Garib Rath, Rajdhani Express, Duronto and fully AC mail and Train Express,” said CPRO.
The train has also allocated six to seven bottom beds per coach in bed and four to five beds down per coach in 3AC in all letters and express trains for senior citizens, passengers for women over 45 years and pregnant women, CPRO words, Adding three to four beds per coach at 2AC is also for women passengers.
CPRO said the train had also decided to introduce more friendly-deactivated trainers on a long distance train with a wider entrance, the place of entrance and compartment.
