Ancient temples Ganesha in Yavatmal go under water after 26 years

Nagpur: Chintamani Underground Temple, a Ganesha form, located in Kalam City in Yavatmal District, about 120 km from Nagpur, witnessing a unique geological phenomenon since October 7 from a natural source under the idol.
Chintamani began to move up and out at the temple.
In the last 24 hours, about three feet of this temple, which is located 30 feet below the ground, filled with this water.
Residents claim that this phenomenon is used previously every 12 years.
The water level rises until Chintamani Idol and then gradually falls.
“Water continues to rise for 20 days, and then recede in seven days.” The local resident said was 89 years old.
“Kalam residents and worshipers Mr.
Ganeshera believes that water is the Ganges river that appears every 12 years to touch Lord Chintamani’s feet and disappear later,” Chandu Chandore said, President of the President of Chintamani Temple.
“We have watched this since childhood.
This generally happens in the month of Ashwin after every 12 years.
However, it did not happen since 1995.
We wondered why it was stopped,” he added.
According to Shailesh Kale, SDO from Kalam, this is a natural phenomenon mentioned well in the painting of the district of the British era.
“Once in 12 years, in the Hindu Ashwin (September-Oct), the water from Ganesh Kund at the temple began to rise and partially sank 4.5-ft idol.
It requires a big pilgrimage.
But seeing Covid conditions, we have limited entries in the temple, “Kale said.
He also told me that the Yavatmal District Administration had notified Indian Geological Survey (Central Region) Nagpur and the Expert Team would visit Kalambi immediately to find out the reasons behind the phenomenon.
Dr.
Yogesh Murkute from the RTMNU Geology Department, who is a hydrogeologist, said that this natural phenomenon is famous in geology.
“Aquifers are underground layers of permeable rocks containing water.
There are various types of aquifers.
One of them is a limited aquifer.
This water catchment area can be hundreds of kilometers.
It may take years for these stones to recharge with rainwater.
After Released completely, water starts out of one end of the rock like that, “he said.
Dr Murkute remembers similar incidents in Yeola Tehsil from the Nashik district where the water catchment area was found 190 km from the source.
“We also need further studies about this source.
This might give us amazing results,” he added.
Piezometric surface is also a known phenomenon in geology.
A senior scientist at the Nagpur Groundwater Survey and Development Agency (GSDA) told Ti who had been charged with capacity, water began to release pressure up to several periods for several periods.
“It’s because of water pressure between rocks and surfaces.
Because we have taken a large amount of ground water lately, this exercise may be delayed 12 years to 26 years,” said the scientists.
Prof.
DB Malpe, an expert in economic geology, said that this is the best time to know the source.
“The GSI expert team will soon find a scientific reason behind that phenomenon.
The outlet charging zone can be miles away,” he said.
