Angelina Jolie wrote a new child’s rights book

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie said she hoped to empower children around the world with tools to “fight” for their rights with books that have been written with Amnesty International.
“Know your rights and their claims” – Written with Human Rights lawyer Geraldine van Bueren, one of the Native Pastors of the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child – aims to equip children with knowledge to challenge injustice safely.
“So many adverse children throughout the world and we don’t do enough,” Jolie told Reuters in an interview.
“This is their rights, deciding years ago based on what would make them healthy, balanced, safe and stable.”

Jolie, a special envoy for the UN UN refugee agency, said he hoped the book would also remind the government of their commitment to the Global Enshrining Agreement of the civil society, social, political and economic rights of children.
“We spend a lot of time blocking those rights, so this book to help children have a tool book to say ‘This is your rights, these are the things you need to submit to see how far you are, depending on the country And your circumstances, come from accessing those rights, what are your obstacles, others who come before you and struggle, how you can fight ‘.
So it’s a handbook to fight.

Son-six said he put up the convention of UN at his home for his children, but was surprised to study his own country, the United States, had not ratified it.
“It made me angry and made me start questioning what it meant? So for every country, what this idea is, you have the right to education …
But then why are so many children who come out of school? Why do girls in Afghanistan being harmed if They left? “He said.
How to become an activist
The book discusses identity, justice, education and protection from danger, among other problems.
This provides a guide to becoming an activist, safe and glossary terms and organizations.
“Through the book, you have to find your own way, because we are very worried about the safety of children.
We don’t want children to run on shouting for their rights and put themselves in danger,” Jolie said.
This book was seasoned with examples of strong young voices from all over the world, including the winner of Nobel Peace Prize Malala Yousafzai, Climate Activist Greta Thunberg and 15-year-old Palestinian journalist Jihad Jihad.
“I tried …
showed the world of what Palestinian children faced every day,” Jihad, who lives in the village of Prophet Salih, in the West Bank occupied by Israel, told Jolie and other young activists in video calls.
, Attended by Reuters, where they discussed their campaign work.
“It’s very important to gather along with other young people …
that’s what we will do …
to make change,” added Christina Adane, 17 based in London, who campaigned for a healthier food system.
This book came out in England on Thursday and for pre-orders in other countries, with the aim of publication throughout the world.
“We will find that some adults in some countries will block the book and children will find it so I think that’s how it will reach more children,” Jolie said.
“Children will make each other realize it and they might even be part of translating it and getting it with each other.”
