Anil Deshmukh jump over Ed Calls for 3rd time

Mumbai: Former Minister of Home Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh failed, for the third time, to appear in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday.
He sent a letter through his lawyer who informed Ed that he could not attend to be questioned until the Supreme Court decided his request urgently against coercive actions.
Ed decided to challenge the Deshmukh petition in court.
The son of Deshmukh Hrishikesh has been summoned on Tuesday.
On Monday, Ed rejected Dishmukh’s letter because there was a typing type of box under Dishmukh’s signature, and ED officials believed that it was Photoshopped, said Ed Sources.
They further added that Deshmukh could not be traced to his statement and the phone was also turned off.
Two separate Ed teams have visited two residences known in Mumbai on Friday night, but former ministers cannot be traced.
Lawyer Deshmukh Inderpal Singh declined to comment.
Last Tuesday, Deshmukh wrote a letter to ED, asked him to record his statement through video conferencing.
Ed had refused a request after stating that it was not feasible or powered and alleged that Dishmukh adopted a tactic dillatory.
In Monday’s letter, Deshmukh reportedly stated that objections Ed “not only misunderstanding but also reflects the thought of prejudice.” The letter asked for “waiting for the results of the process before the court for the next few days”, which according to the agency was diametrically opposed to what he had been treated, where he asked for the details of the case and insisted that he was not avoiding the investigation.
Last month, Ed had arrested the Private Secretary of Deshmukh (Additional Government Officials of Rank Collectors) Sanjeev Palande and Personal Assistant Kundan Shinde to help Deshmukh and Hrishikesh with money laundering.
Palande and Shinde are in detention ED until July 6.
Ed was investigating money laundering cases against Deshmukh based on charges of former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh in a ministerial letter.
Singh has accused Deshmukh has demanded RS 100 Crore every month from assistant police assistant inspector Sachin and two other officers after asking them to take it illegally from the orchestra bars in the city and other sources.
