ED is likely to call him a third time after he failed to appear on Tuesday.
This investigated money laundering cases against former ministers.
On Tuesday, he sent a letter to Ed through his advocate, where he said that investigators officers could record his statement through video conferencing.
He said the case against him was politically motivated.
The source said Ed decided to retaliate by saying according to the law, it was IO wisdom to decide how to question and the suspect could not dictate the requirements to him.
The Ed Probe found that Rs 4.7 Crore illegally collected from the bar owner with Waze was transferred to the education trust based in Deshmukh by his son, money has been directed through the Hawala operator and is displayed as a donation.
MENWHILE, a special court in Mumbai on Tuesday gave permission to the CBI to record a statement of four “important witnesses” before the judge in his government into the FIR-Home Deshmukh.
The CBI said he had found that witnesses could highlight the crime and the accused role.
The court said the Esplanade court judge was asked to record witness statements.
This statement will also be given to the CBI in an envelope sealed on or before July 5.
