New Delhi: Special PMLA Court on Saturday can be returned to the former Minister of Maharashtra’s home annealed Deshmukh to the 14-day trial detention in connection with money laundering.
The court has refused the request for the Directorate of Enforcement for custody in Deshmukh.
Ed had been looking for nine-day prisoners from former ministers in the case.
Son submitted a request for Anticipatory Bailmean, son of Deshmukh Hrishikesh on Saturday moved the court session and filed a petition for anticipatory guarantees.
Ed has issued a call for Hrishikesh to be questioned in money laundering.
Ed had asked Hrishikesh to appear earlier on Friday but he did not, the official said.
Anil Deshmukh, who was arrested in the case of money laundering mentioned above, was taken for a medical examination from the Ed office, before producing it before the PMLA court specialized in Mumbai on Saturday.
Ed arrested Anil Deshmukh on Monday night, after 12 hours questioned, in connection with extortion and alleged money laundering with an omelet with former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh.
Singh accused Anil Deshmukh involved in several mistakes, including asking Mumbai police officers who were dismissed Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 Crore from the bar and restaurant in Mumbai.
(Ani) Money laundering case against Deshmukh and the others were made after the CBI posted him in a corruption case related to the allegations of at least RS 100 Crore bribery made by former Police Commissioner Mumbai Singh.
In addition, Ed has initiated an investigation against Deshmukh and his colleagues after the CBI filed brilliantly against NCP leaders on April 21 on charges of corruption and abuse of official positions.
The ED case is that Dishmukh, while serving as a Minister of Home Affairs, misused his official position and through a COP Sachin attack which was dismissed collecting Rs 4.70 Crore from various bars and restaurants in Mumbai.
Besides Deshmukh, Ed has caught two of his – Kundan Shinde and Sanjeev Pallande – in connection with this case.
