Mumbai: The Special PMLA court on Monday sent former Minister of Home Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh (72) to hold a judiciary for two weeks in the case of money laundering.
He was arrested on 2.
November.
The court also allowed Deshmukh’s request for drugs and beds.
His lawyer calls his age and illness.
It was also submitted that Dishmukh suffered back problems.
However, the court keeps his request for delayed home food.
Ed in his first accusation sheet accused Deshmukh, through Pa Kundan Shinde, has collected Rs 4.7 Crore from assistant assistant police inspector who was dismissed with cash.
Waze then led the Ciu branch from Mumbai police and had raised money from the owner of the Mumbai orchestra bar illegally for Deshmukh.
From the money, Rs 4.18 Crore was transferred to education trust based in Deshmukh through a Shell company with the help of Hawala operators based in Delhi Surendra Jain and Virendra Jain, showing it as a donation.
Ed has accused that there are 27 companies that are directly or indirectly controlled by family members of Deshmukh and have been used for the purpose of sick infusion.
Also said the money had flown from his personal account of his son Hrishikesh and Salil Deshmukh and other family members to these companies.
“Even those accused of Anil Deshmukh have transacted with several companies and cannot explain the reason clearly shows the intention behind his rejection,” said Ed.
Deshmukh said that the money received by the trust from the Hawala operator based in Delhi was a loan.
“In asking Anil Deshmukh about his relationship with trust, namely Sai Shikshan Sanshan, he said that even though he was the chairman of trust, he did not know the existence of financial transactions of trust.
However, when he asked specifically about the transferred entries received from a hawala company based In Delhi in Garb Donation, he firmly stated that this was a loan and CSR received from the company.
