Coimbatore: Sathish Kumar City Health Officer said they could overcome more complaints of wild dog threats since the opening of the new animal birth control unit on ondipudur 10 days ago.
He said the unit in Seerandangencepalaryam could not meet the increasing number of complaints from city residents.
The officer said the ondipudur unit, the narrowing had begun in 2019 at a cost of RS 36 Lakh, was ready last year.
“However, it takes time for us to complete NGOs to carry out family planning activities.
And we concentrate fully at Covid-19 pandemic years ago,” he said when asked about the delay in opening the center scattered in room 4.700sqft.
He said about 30 to 40 wild dogs were trapped in a day for the birth control of activities.

Other health officials with City Corporation say all regulations and regulations are related to handling dogs while capturing and releasing them strictly followed.
“There are more than 40,000 wild dogs in the city.

He said City Corporation had to turn off the animal-birth control unit in Ukkadam in March 2017 after residents complained that the dogs entered their area by jumping from a compound wall.
