New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Wednesday Looking for Status Reports from Police Authorities and Prison on the request for the alleged murder of an Ankit Gujjar inmate in Tihar Jail earlier this month.
Justice Mukta Gupta issued a notification to Delhi police, the authority of the prison, center and CBI in the petition by the Gujjar family and ordered the preservation of CCTV footage when and afterwards.
This petition is looking for transferring investigations from Delhi police to CBI and adequate, around the hours for family members.
Gujjar, 29, was found dead in his cell in Tihar Jail on 4.
August at the petition submitted through Advocates Mehmood Pracha and Shariq Nisar, the family has allegedly abused by prison officials because he “cannot meet them regularly increasing money demands” And killed “as part of a planned conspiracy”.
It was said that the dead prisoners “faced more brutality” in the hands of a prison official who “directed his subordinates to use all their strength to him to finish him and make an example of him for other inmates”.
“The brutality filled with the deceased as evidenced from the photos of his body, coupled with the fact that he was allowed to die in solitary cells without any medical attention, making it the rarest color of the rarest rare category.” Read the petition.
Plea was then conveyed that the prison authority in Tihar operated “organized extortion syndicates” and the police tried to manipulate investigations to save and protect the culprit.
The petition states that even though firing for violations of registered murders in accordance with the direction of the Masters Court, “Free and fair investigations by the neutral investigation institution will definitely lead to prayer not only further provisions under the Criminal Code.
Also under special laws such as Mcoca, Prevention Action of corruption and prevention of money laundering laws “.
Plea accused the “whole administration error” on the grounds that CCTV was ordered to be closed by an official at the time when the deceased was beaten.
The problem will be heard ahead in September.
