Chennai: Anna University has decided to allow engineering students to conduct two online courses in related fields during BTECH course they can also directly transfer up to six credits from their online courses to their degree programs.
Under previous regulations, students can do one course online but cannot transfer credit.
Credit is only allowed if students clear the exam done by the university.
The new rule is to encourage students to take online courses on the Swayam platform.
“Anna University Academic Program Professor Hosimin Thailagar made an online presentation on new rules to college players affiliated on Monday.

“Universities need to maintain academic records for all internal assessments for academic audits by experts from other institutions.” The University will follow the principle of relative assessment to avoid signal inflation in internal assessment.
Students will get a value based on collective performance, “he added.
New regulations also enable slow students to drop courses within 30 days of the course of the course if he feels that the theory is difficult.
The university releases the curriculum only for the first two semesters.
For a higher semester , the university will include input from the industry in the curriculum.
The new regulation is to encourage students to take more online courses offered at various platforms
