Varanasi: Annapurna Dewi Idol that will arrive next week after being returned by Canada will be installed in one of the seven temples that will be established in the Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) area, after that there will be two Dewi temples in the expanded Kashi Vishwanath temple.
Annapurna respected Dewi Temple was already near Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Commissioner Division Deepak Agrawal told TOI on Sunday, “The ancient idol that can be returned by Canada will be installed in one of the seven temples that appear in the KV Dham place.
These temples have been designed to reinstall idols preserved during campus expansion.
Date for ‘Pran Pratistha’ (Consecration) Idol has been designated as 15 November and the Chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adityanath will attend the ceremony.
“Idol Dewi Parvati, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman and Lord Satyanarayan, who was maintained when the construction of KV DHAM began to expand the KVT building , it will also be installed in these temples, he added.
The date of re-installation of this idol is being decided.
These seven temples are prefabricated and will be placed in KV Dham immediately, official said.
The Idol of the Dewi Annapurna Stone has been stolen from Kashi and is smuggled to Canada Seabad ago.
At Mann Ki Baat on November 29, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the return of this idol from Canada, mentioned it was stolen from the Varanasi temple and smuggled somewhere around 1913.
Agrawal said the idol would be brought from the new Delhi to Varanasi through the road land and will reach the city on November 14 night.
Officials have also prepared preparations for the initial settlement of 27 temples excavated during building removal for the Dham KV project and reinstalling idols and artifacts found in the process.
Shanidev Temple and Shiv Kutcher outside the South Wall where KVT will also be restored.
“A devasthanam (Dev gallery) is also being made.
This will accommodate 27 idols and artifacts recover from various buildings.
The recovery of 27 temples has also begun,” added the commissioner.
