Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced Hefty’s cash award for sportsmen from the country that will use medals at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
A government spokesman said sportsmen starting from winning a gold medal at the Olympics will be given Rs 6 Crore while the silver and bronze forecasters will get Rs 4 Crore and Rs 2 Crore.
In addition, all participants from above, regardless of their performance, each will be given by Rs 10 Lakh.
For players who participated in the team’s program, Hospital 3 Crore was announced for the winner of the Gold Medal and Rs 2 Crore and Rs 1 Crore, for silver and bronze medalists.
“Under Khoob Khelo, the mission of Khoob Badho, this state government made all the settings needed for better players.
The government did not leave the stone missed because of their right training and encouragement.
Special coaches have been appointed for their training.
In addition to improving conditions Hostel, the government is building a new stadium in the state, “said the spokesman.
“During the last four years the Yogi Aditentalath government, 44 Hostels were established for 890 players from various sports in 19 districts.
The number for sports kits has also increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500,” he added.
Sportspersons from the top who participated in the Olympics were Priyanka Goswami, Annu Rani, Seema Punia from Meerut, and Shivpal Singh from Chandauli (all athletics), Saurabh Chaudhary from Meerut and Meraj Ahmed Khan from Bulandshahr (Satish Kumar from Bulandshahr (Boxing), Arvind Singh From Bulandshahr (Rowing), Vandana Kataria from Meerut and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay from Varanasi (Hockey).
