Surat: Police detained a 38-year-old Sarthana resident because of his alleged participation in cheating on a diamond businessmen.
Accused Rahul Kathiriya is among the seven men involved with the refusal of Rs 27 lakh value of diamonds.
Cops have arrested four accused like Kathiriya from the situation.
Kathiriya was captured dependent on particular information by Varachha authorities from Laskana.
The gang is reserved at Kapodra police station too in a similar situation.
Police detained three other people — Vimal Vachhani, Ishwar and Umesh Mangukiya — previously in the situation.
“The condemned started an office at a gemstone market place at a leased space and promoted on line in their interest in buying diamonds.
While assessing the diamond wedges out of agents they would replace the first with copies,” said a police officer from Varachha police channel.
They originally provide a great price for the stones and when they can get confidence of the agents they’d substitute the diamonds from the package.
The agent would be aware of it just after a couple of times when he assessed the package, but at the time the accused could have vanished.
