New Delhi: After Canalys, this is another report claiming Apple has lost no.
2 positions on the smartphone market globally.
According to a particular company, OPPO surpassed Apple in April and 2021 to become the second largest smartphone manufacturer after Samsung.
Please note that the OPPO brand here includes realm and OnePlus brand sisters.
Oppo uses the following brands as part of its global strategy: * Oppo – offline and middle to low-end smartphone * Realm – Lower Level Smartphone online; Regulated as a fully owned subsidiary * ONEPLUS – premium smartphone; Now combined with Oppo “Oppo and the global smartphone joint subsidiaries surpassed Apple and Xiaomi in April and can take vendors to the second globally,” said Jene Park, Award Analyst on rival research.
According to Park, this is a combined result of multi-brand strategies companies that include oneplus premium and more accessible.
Looking forward, the park speculates that the oppo family is likely to be the next dominant brand to come from China since Huawei.
Oppo was attended by Apple at 15% and Xiaomi, which was established in fourth place with a market share of 14%.
Samsung, Huawei and Apple have dominated the world smartphone market in recent years.
However, the share of dynamics and markets saw major changes with US prohibitions in Huawei, who saw the company lose its position at the top 5 in the global smartphone market.
Huawei’s prohibition has helped Chinese companies like Oppo and Xiaomi get traction, especially in the European market.
Meanwhile, at the news research company related Canalys recently named Xiaomi as the second largest smartphone brand in the world in terms of shipping during Q2 2021, in front of Apple.
According to Canalys, Xiaomi delivery “increased by more than 300% in Latin America, 150% Africa and 50% in Western Europe.” Xiaomi, according to the report, “now changes its business model from Challenger to Cuplengent, with initiatives such as the consolidation of channel partners and more careful management of older stocks on the open market.”
