Bhubaneswar: Continuing with zero tolerance of the Government of Naveen Patnaik against corruption, The Odisha Wasstance enrolled 26 criminal cases against corrupt government staff in 2021 compared to 245 cases registered in 2020.
According to the statistics released by the Directorate of Wewa Odisha on Wednesday, 175 Officers were arrested last year on charges of having disproportional assets (DA), accepting bribes and misuse of government funds.
They included 23 of my class officers, 28 class officers and 104 class III employees at least 12 cases were registered with class I officers and 17 cases of DA against class II officers.
“We executed 98 trap cases against 107 civil servants and arrested them with red hands while accepting bribes in different places.
In total, around Rs 20.13 lakh cash was confiscated from them.
In one case, the number of bribes is Rs 1.5 Lakh and in four cases are more than RS 1 lakh, “said a senior vigilance officer number of RS 41.77 lakh records in cash confiscated from the house of Santosh Kumar Das, former assistant engineer from the integrated tribal development agency in Bari on November 26.
Earlier on November 9, alert officials won Hospital 38.12 lakh cash from House of Pratap Kumar Samal, a former deputy residential manager and Odisha welfare.
During the attack, Samal allegedly disposed of RS 20 lakh cash into the neighbor’s terrace.
