Lok Sabha’s Secretariat on Thursday issued a letter to members of Parliament Comb Adhikari, Sunil Kumar Mandal and K Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju looking for their response in 15 days for the petition moving against them under the law of anti-defection.
While Adhikari and Mandal defected BJP from TMC ahead of the West Bengal poll earlier this year, the YSR Congress demanded disqualified KRR Krishna Raju as a member of parliament for alleged anti-party activities that he involved.
In June this year, TMC moved similar to the petition before Birla asked him to disqualify Mandal and Adhikari.
Mandal, MP from the East Burdwan chair, joined BJP in December 2020.
Adhikari, who followed March, was chosen as MP TMC from Contai in East Midnapore Regency.
Adhikari’s son, Suvendu, defeated the Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee from Nandigram with only 2,000 votes.
All Parliamentarians have been asked to give their response to the secretariat letter within 15 days of receipt
