Kanpur: Sitting (Special Investigation Team) investigated the remaining anti-sech riots for Punjab on Tuesday to record a statement of three families whose five members were killed by rioters in the Dabauli Kanpur area after the murder of Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984.
In Dabauli, five members of three families were killed by rioters.
Sardar Bhagwan Singh from one family and Karan Singh and his wife Satwant Kaur from another family was killed.
In the third family, Tej Singh’s men and Satpal Singh were killed by rioters, who also used burning and looting.
After riots, Bhagwan Singh’s Wife Surinder, Putra Karan Singh Singh and Tej Singh’s son Chararjit Singh had submitted a brilliant officer at the Govindnagar police station in the city.
To remember, in November and December by 2020, sitting had visited Jalandhar in Punjab and recorded the son of Karan Singh’s son’s son, but the Plaintiff was not found at home.
Surinder Kaur, the wife of the late Bhagwan Singh, also still can’t be traced.
The statement of some late Tej Singh family members cannot be recorded.
