Anticipating the third wave, Ima Docs to Rural Mentor PHC

Nagpur: Senior doctor related to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Nagpur branch has decided to mentor doctors and health workers deployed at the Rural Health Center (PHC) in the district in the next two-three months.
The guidance project launched along with the District Administration saw the possibility of the third wave, which is expected to achieve rural and pediatric populations hard.
Ravindra Thakary District collector visited Ima’s office in Nagpur recently and completed the Mentorship PHC project.

The Thakary collector said the government had limited infrastructure and people still had more faith in the private health sector.
“We want to take advantage of doctor and private patients’ relationships to fight the third wave of pandemic.
The electronic platform for this is ready.
We will soon launch it,” he said.
THT surgeons and head of the Mucormycosis Task Force Dr.
Prashant Nikhade said that the uniform pediatric covid guidelines must be formed in front of the anticipated third wave.
“When Ima is ready for the guidance project, the government must provide details of work patterns in this project.
We will share our experiences to handle emergencies and shifts of patients at Covid care centers or special Covid centers with doctors,” said Dr.
Nikhade.
IMA adviser, advocate Bhanudas Kulkarni said that it was a new social movement by Ima Nagpur.
“The doctor is ready to share their expertise with land workers in PHC, which will empower every primary health care center from Nagpur Regency,” he said.

YS Deshpande suggested that the bed in Covid Nagpur care centers or dedicated Covid centers must be intended for patients from rural PHC.
“It’s necessary, because rural areas will be badly affected if the waves hit,” said Dr.
Deshpande.
Dr Archana Kothari said that the mentor query must be resolved based on priority.
Dr.
Sunil Lanjing demands that infrastructure and logistics such as drugs and oxygen must be set first.
Ima Nagpur Vice President Dr.
Manjusha Giri said that doctors are ready to guide health workers in rural areas if the government regulates the PHC orientation program.
Secretary of Ima Nagpur, Dr.
Sachin Gathe submitted a list of doctors who will guide PHC.
