Ranchi: Chanchala Kumari, a 14-year-old tribal athlete as well as cadet of the Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS) became the first wrestler on the background of this nation to become qualified for its world wrestling tournament that will be held at Budapest (Hungary) between July 19 and 25.

Chanchala will reflect the nation from the 40kg sub-junior class.
“She will probably be the only athlete to represent the nation in this class,” said trainer Bablu Kumar, who’s now with her at Delhi.

“She’s silver at the SGFI national match in 2017-18, consecutive golds at SGFI matches in 2018-19, 19-20 and bronze at the 2020-21 sub-junior nationwide match.
It is a happy moment for us now,” Singh explained.
Even the JSSPS is a joint venture involving the Central Coalfields Limited along with also the Jharkhand government to train budding gamers across different areas in the mega sport complex from Hotwar.
CCL manager (employees ) Vinay Ranjan congratulated Chanchala on her accomplishment and explained,”We’re optimistic that she’ll win a trophy in the worldwide arena.”
