Washington: US Judge on Monday rejected the antitrust lawsuit against Facebook who tried to force the company to sell Instagram and WhatsApp, said the action of the Federal Trade Commission “was not enough”.
The judge also rejected the lawsuit submitted by many US states in December, saying that they had waited too long and could not challenge the acquisition for a long time.
The US District Court Judge for the Columbia District said FTC had failed to show that Facebook had the power of monopoly in the social networking market.
The judge said that FTC could file a new complaint on July 29.
