WASHINGTON: US Secretary Antony Blinken will host a virtual meeting on Friday with his colleagues from Israel, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco to mark the first warning of the normalization agreement between Arab countries and officials.
This event will be the highest appearance of Biden’s profile for what Abraham Accords, which is widely seen as a diplomatic success for former President Donald Trump.
President Joe Biden has supported the agreement since serving in January, and senior helpers have said they work to get additional Arab countries to normalize relations with Israel after hostility for decades after decades after hostility.
But administration has now been cool with the idea of commemorating the warning of the agreement.
A Department of State Official and an Israeli official, spoke with anonymous requirements, the plan confirmed for the meeting, who was first reported by the Axios News website.
Israeli leaders, UAE and Bahrain signed Abraham’s agreement at the White House in September last year.
Israel and Sudan announced the following month that they would normalize relationships, and Morocco formed a diplomatic bond with Israel in December, after Biden defeated Trump in US elections.
Palestinian officials said they felt betrayed by their brothers because they reached an agreement with Israel without demanding the first progress towards the creation of the Palestinian state.
Until last year, only two Arab countries – Egypt and Jordan – had falsified a bond full of Israel.
The agreement has caused many trade and investment transactions.
“This event will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the signing of Abraham above and discusses ways to further deepen bonds and build a more prosperous area,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials.
AVI Berkowitz, a former Middle East messenger who helped the broker deal with the son-in-law Trump and senior adviser Jared Kushner, wrote on Twitter: “Thank you to the administration of Biden and specifically @SecBlinken to support Abraham’s agreement.”
