Lucknow: BJP Ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) President Anupriya Patel, who has been a jockey for a separate ministry to solve the problem faced by other backup classes, return to the council after two years.
MP from Mirzapur Uttar Pradesh, a 40-year-old Patel belonging to the Kurmi community and has been a minister in the first government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The inclusion in the modi team was significant ahead of the election of the Pradesh Uttar Council next year and Lok Sabha polls in 2024 because other backwards (OBC) had a large number of voters in the main purvanchal region.
“We have demanded the establishment of services for OBC on minority minority lines to resolve the issue of classes backwards,” he said at a meeting of party workers on the 72nd birthday of the founder of the previous month.
