Anurag Thakur Pitch for a general collection of cash awards for medals

New Delhi: The Minister of Sports Anurag Thakur on Monday encourages public inundation of cash awards for athletes with the central and state governments accumulating funds to provide the same benefits for India for India.
During virtual interactions, Thakur asked the Minister of Sports and the United States to send their feedback in this matter.
The meeting was held to draw a road map to prepare Indian athletes for future Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games and evaluate how countries contribute to promoting sports at grassroots.
The meeting was also attended by Ravi Mittal’s sports secretary.
Thakur said the sport was the subject of the country and the overall motive of the interaction was urging countries to regulate sports in rural and urban areas for capable athletes and athletes and play an important role in identifying talent at the root of talent levels.
“Today’s meeting is very useful and we have agreed to meet at least twice a year to evaluate progress and how we can produce better infrastructure, more coaches and more trainers and physiotherapists,” he said after the meeting.
“In addition, we will look for a dashboard, where data related to sports infrastructure will be available from every state, district, block.” Dashboard will provide all relevant information such as how many trainers are available, what type of exercise will be played at indoor stadiums or outdoor games etc.

“Thakur also said that there will be a talent hunting program for various sports to identify children and train them for upcoming events.
