New Delhi: The Minister of Sports Anurag Thakur will almost interact with the Minister of Sports from all states and the United States on Monday to prepare a road map for the future.
Interactions emerged after the country’s success at the Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo.
The leading government program, Khelo India and India Fit, will remain an integral part of interaction.
During the interaction, Thakur would urge countries to regulate sports events in rural and urban areas for capable athletes and athletes and play an important role in the identification of talents at the grassroots level.
Sports school level promotion and support for the Federation of Indian school games (SGFI) will be other discussion points.
Countries and UTS will also be asked to form a collection of cash awards for athletes where the central and state governments can accumulate funds.
At present, there are 24 Khelo India, the center of the advantage (Kisce) in 23 states and UTS while 360 centers of Khelo India have been opened in various districts in this country.
Thakur will also urge countries and UTS to send proposals to open Kisces, KIC and the Academy to continue the cause of strengthening the nation’s sports ecosystem.
