New Delhi: BCCI will ratify the prevention of sexual and intentional harassment policies on a compensation package that has been delayed for domestic cricket at the peak board meeting to be held on September 20.
Until now, the Board does not have a specific policy to deal with complaints of sexual harassment.
It has formed an internal committee after allegations of sexual abuse appear against CEO Rahul Johri, who finally resigned.
Like the last meeting on June 20, the meeting agenda also included a discussion about the compensation package for domestic cricket for the Covid-19-hit season 2020-2021 when Ranji Trophy was not held for the first time, handling financial punches to the players.
BCCI has formed a working group to find compensation packages but the committee has not met.
Finally it can meet before the Apex Board meeting and the cricket will expect the Board to come out with the earliest decision.
Interestingly, compensation will also be considered for women’s cricket to lose the game last season.
“Discussion about compensation to be given to Cricketers Class One (men and women) for the 2020-21 season,” Read item number three on the agenda.
The meeting will be held virtually once again because the carrier is expected to be in the UAE to continue the September 19th IPL.
Also for discussions will be “infrastructure subsidy claims submitted by the State Cricket Association of more than two years.
Old”.
Stock preparations for the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the UAE after the IPL from October 17, and the domestic season 2021-2022 will also be taken.
BCCI has pushed Trophy Ranji starting January because the state unit wants it after the white ball tournament – Trophy Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The T20 event will be staged from October 27 to November 22 while the one-day competition will take place from 1 to 29 December.
